Using a white cane safely and effectively requires one-on-one training with a mobility specialist. Without proper training, a cane can be misused and dangerous both to the user and those around the user. For this reason, CSBPS does not sell white folding or rigid canes to customers who have never used one. CSBPS staff can provide this training by appointment, or refer you to an agency in your area that provides this training. Call CSBPS at (206) 525-5556 or (800) 458-4888 for information. (Support canes can be sold without instruction.)
