September is Fall Prevention Awareness Month!

According to the World Health Organization, 28-35% of people over the age of 65 fall each year. Falling is a serious concern, as it has the potential to lead to significant health problems for older adults. Living with vision loss can put a person at higher risk for falls. Preventing falls will decrease health risks and increase an individual’s long term quality of life. Here at SightConnection, we provide you with items that help you (or a loved one) to prevent avoidable falls and to stay as independent as possible. For more information on fall prevention, see the September issue of our online Prism newsletter. Click here to learn more. Please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-458-4888 with any questions about our products you may have, or if you would like to place an order over the phone.

Your purchases make a difference! All of your purchases help support our nonprofit's mission of enhancing the ability of people with vision loss to lead active, independent lives.

Shopping at SightConnection means much more than purchasing a talking watch or a magnifier. While those items certainly help people with vision loss manage daily tasks so much easier, your purchase does so much more.

Here at SightConnection we are part of a nonprofit organization, Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted. The profits from each and every purchase here at SightConnection help provide independent living skills training to people with vision loss.
Macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy are some of the most common causes of vision loss in older adults. The products we sell here are designed to help maintain independence despite vision loss. These are the products that our vision rehabilitation professionals recommend everyday to the individuals we work with. We have large print, talking, low vision and Braille items.

For over 30 years we have been selling quality products specially designed to make life easier for people with vision loss. Profits from our sales go directly to the services and programs that we provide for people with impaired vision.
